The following summarizes the footprint of the FileMaker platform as used to deploy Lackner’s 6-in-1 Estate Administration System and InheriTax. It includes some exceptions and considerations for aligning security (anti-virus, firewall, etc.) software with the environment.

Every year we release updates to 6-in-1 to support the latest tax forms, changes in tax law, and to enhance the product.  This article includes step-by-step instructions to install these updates for Server Edition users running the FileMaker 19 or 20 version of our product on Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022.  Screen shots for these instructions are based on Windows Server 2019, but can easily be adapted for users running Server 2016 or 2022.

The latest version of FileMaker Server has some important security and performance enhancements.  We strongly recommend updating to the latest version when it's convenient.  This article includes step-by-step instructions to upgrade your FileMaker Server version 19.0 or greater to the latest version of FileMaker Server.  This article is based on Windows Server 2019 Datacenter edition, but is applicable for similar Windows Server editions.
