pdfFactory Pro is an indespensable tool that most of our customers install along with InheriTax and/or 6-in-1.  These simple instructions can be downloaded or viewed right here, and will get you up and running quickly.  These are instructions for installing pdfFactory Pro v3.52 on your desktop computer.  If you are using Citrix or a Remote Desktop type environment, please refer to the server version of this article.

pdfFactory Pro is an indespensable tool that most of our customers install along with InheriTax and/or 6-in-1.  These simple instructions will get you up and running quickly.  This version of the instructions is for installing the server edition of pdfFactory Pro (v4.05) on your Windows Server for RDS, Citrix, and related environments.  If you are using 6-in-1 in a Desktop environment, please refer to the desktop version of this article.

Wether for a new installation or for your annual license key update, there's a great new built-in feature for getting your most current license key right from within InheriTax!  First, we reccomend that you make sure you're on the latest version.  Next, as of version 2021-266 (9/23/2021), simply click on the license key fields from the Main Menu, and the prompts will take you our new 'Enter New Licnese Key' screen.  Keep in mind that if you just paid your renewal invoice, it may take a couple of days to clear the system.

InheriTax is not a network application.  It is a runtime application where the executable and the data are bound to the same directory and regardless of whether the files are shared to other users or not, the program still only permits a single user to access the data at  any one time.

09/23/2015 (12:35 pm): Several users this morning expressed interest in continuing to use the HUD-1 for closings (including cash-only transactions) that do not require the new Closing Disclosure form. We will not be removing the HUD-1 from the InheriTax package, so you will able to continue using it in its current format without interruption...

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court published new Register of Wills forms (#06-10) and Orphans’ Court forms (#01-06) on August 9, 2016 (the first such revisions in 10 years). These forms are required for all filings submitted on or after September 1, 2016. This requirement is apparently being strictly enforced (two Status Reports using the old form were rejected today for firms that had not installed the update)...

As a general rule your system should adhere to the following minimum specifications:

• 5 GB of Hard Drive space allocated for the application and database files.
• 8 GB of RAM

*InheriTax is NOT supported on macOS or Windows Terminal Server.
